EMPHASIS: DWI Sobriety Checkpoints Scheduled For Clay County
Captain Vincent J. Ellis, Commanding Officer of Troop A, announces two sobriety checkpoints will be held in Clay County, Missouri, sometime during the month of August. The checkpoints will be a joint effort conducted with the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department.
The checkpoints are part of the continuing efforts by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and other law enforcement agencies to remove intoxicated drivers from the highways. The checkpoint consists of officers stopping vehicles at a set location and testing those who have been drinking.
Captain Ellis stated, “If you drink alcohol, please do not drive. Our goal is to make traveling on Missouri highways safer for the motoring public.”
