EMPHASIS: Randolph County Residents Arrested on Drug Charges

On October 3, 2005, members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop B Marijuana Eradication Team, NEMO Drug Task Force, Shelby County Sheriff’s Department, and Randolph County Sheriff’s Department, arrested two Randolph County residents on drug charges following a two-month investigation of an illegal marijuana growing operation in rural Shelby County. The investigation led officers to a residence in rural Randolph County where illegal contraband was seized.

Travis D. Bue, 40, of Moberly, Missouri, was arrested for Felony Manufacture of a Controlled Substance (marijuana), and Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance (marijuana). Bue was incarcerated in the Shelby County jail on a $20,000 bond. Connie E. Peacock, 39, of Moberly, Missouri, was arrested for Possession of Less Than 35 Grams of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She was released after posting a $1,000 bond with the Randolph County Sheriff’s Department.

The above charges are mere accusations and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
