EMPHASIS: Juvenile Taken Into Custody After Making Terroristic Threats
On April 19, 2007, a 16-year old white male was taken into custody after threats of a terroristic nature were made on the Internet.
An investigation conducted by the Missouri State Highway Patrol Division of Drug and Crime Control, Independence Police Department, Blue Springs Police Department, Blue Springs School District Police, and the Missouri Information Analysis Center (MIAC) uncovered the identity of the person making the terroristic threats and the location from where the terroristic threats were made. A search warrant was executed on the suspect’s residence where two computers were seized as evidence.
The suspect was taken to the Jackson County Juvenile Center by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Troop A, and placed on a 24-hour hold pending charges for making a terroristic threat. The Missouri State Highway Patrol Division of Drug and Crime Control Unit will continue the investigation.
