EMPHASIS: Sobriety Checkpoint Results


Captain Vincent J. Ellis, commanding officer of Troop A, announces the results of two sobriety checkpoints conducted in Clay County by members of the Kansas City Police Department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The checkpoints were held on northbound U.S. Highway 169 south of Barry Road.
Total arrests for the checkpoints included 21 driving while intoxicated arrests, 3 other traffic arrests, and a total of 130 warnings were issued.
Captain Ellis said, “Removing intoxicated drivers from Missouri roadways is a high priority for the Missouri State Highway Patrol. If you are going to drink alcohol, please do not drive.”
