EMPHASIS: Two Subjects Arrested Following Search Warrant In Saline County

On January 6, 2007, at approximately 9:25 p.m., a Missouri State Highway Patrol Special Weapons And Tactics (S.W.A.T.) team assisted the Saline County Sheriff’s Department and Blackburn Police with serving a search warrant at a residence in Blackburn, Missouri. Evidence of a working meth lab was located in the residence.

David A. Myers, 25, and Laura M. Myers, 27, both of Blackburn, Missouri, and two juveniles, ages eight and one, were in the residence at the time the search warrant was served. Saline County Deputies arrested David Myers and Laura Myers without incident for Child Endangerment and Attempt to Manufacture Methamphetamine. They were taken to the Saline County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold. The Saline County Sheriff’s Department is continuing the investigation.

The charges for which David A. Myers and Laura M. Myers were arrested are mere accusations and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty it is to determine guilt or innocence.
