EMPHASIS: Driving While Intoxicated Checkpoint To Be Held In Franklin County
Captain Ronald S. Johnson, commanding officer of Troop C, St. Louis, announces that a sobriety checkpoint will be conducted sometime during the month of May in Franklin County.
Sobriety checkpoints are part of the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s efforts to remove careless and intoxicated drivers from Missouri’s highways, and are conducted at various locations which have been found to experience a higher than normal number of alcohol-related contacts, hazardous driving contacts and collisions.
Captain Johnson says, “The intoxicated driver is a threat to all that drive on Missouri roadways. We will continue to do everything we can to remove impaired drivers from our highways.”
