EMPHASIS: Clark County Residents Arrested On Drug Charges
On Monday, February 2, 2009, at approximately 1:59 p.m., a Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper and a Clark County sheriff’s deputy were called to respond to a domestic disturbance at a residence located on West Des Moines Street, in Wayland, Missouri. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the tenants of the residence who were identified as Dean Hageman, 45, and Karen Theis, 48. During the investigation, officers obtained consent to search the residence where methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and other items used to manufacture methamphetamine were located.
Hageman and Theis were both arrested for felony attempt to manufacture a controlled substance (methamphetamine), felony possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), felony possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Both are being held in the Clark County Jail on $100,000 cash bonds.
The charges for which Hageman and Theis were arrested are mere accusations and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
