EMPHASIS: Troop B Announces Promotion


Captain John W. Elliott, commanding officer of Troop B, Macon, is pleased to announce the following promotion.
Effective June 1, 2008, Corporal Steven V. Wilhoit will be promoted to sergeant. He will remain in his present assignment as an investigator with the Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control (Troop B Unit).
Wilhoit, a native of Shelbina, Missouri, was appointed to the Patrol on July 1, 1996. Upon graduating from the Patrol Academy, he was assigned to Troop B and stationed in Brookfield, Missouri. On June 1, 1999, he transferred to Macon and was assigned to Zone 2, serving the citizens of Macon and Shelby counties. On March 9, 2003, he was promoted to corporal and designated the assistant zone commander of Zone 3, serving the citizens of Chariton and Linn counties. On October 19, 2003, he transferred back to Zone 2, Macon and Shelby counties. On December 1, 2005, he transferred into the Division of Drug and Crime Control (Troop B Unit) as an investigator. He is a graduate of South Shelby High School in Shelbina, Missouri, and earned a bachelor’s of science degree in criminal justice from Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, Missouri. Sgt. Wilhoit is married to Tamara (Milburn) and they have two daughters: Elyse, 9; and Sophia, 8.
