EMPHASIS: Drug Arrests

Captain Luke Vislay, director of the Division of Drug and Crime Control, announces the results of an undercover narcotics investigation from the East Central Drug Task Force.
After a yearlong investigation, undercover operatives from the East Central Drug Task Force were able to conduct a series of covert narcotics investigations involving the distribution/sale of methamphetamine, cocaine, and marijuana. This investigation involved 58 loosely affiliated subjects in Warren and Montgomery counties.
On October 3, 2007, the East Central Drug Task Force, Warren County Sheriff’s Office, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Warrenton Police Department, Montgomery City Police Department, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol, conducted two simultaneous arrest round ups. During those operations, 22 defendants were arrested in Warren County, while 12 additional suspects were arrested in Montgomery County.
The arrested subjects were transported to the respective sheriff’s offices, where they were charged with drug-related offenses. Names of the suspects involved in the operation are not being released at this time. Authorities currently are seeking the remaining 24 suspects identified in this investigation.
