EMPHASIS: Sobriety Checkpoint To Be Held In St. Louis County
Captain Ronald S. Johnson, commanding officer of Troop C, St. Louis, announces that a sobriety checkpoint will be held in St. Louis County sometime in the month of June. The Missouri State Highway Patrol, in cooperation with other area law enforcement agencies, will conduct the checkpoint.
Sobriety checkpoints are part of the Patrol’s efforts to remove intoxicated drivers from Missouri’s highways, and are conducted at various locations which have been found to experience a higher than normal number of alcohol-related contacts.
Captain Johnson says, “Intoxicated drivers compromise the safety of every person who travels on Missouri roads. Please assist the Missouri State Highway Patrol by calling 1-800-525-5555 or cellular *55 when you see someone driving under the influence of alcohol.”
