EMPHASIS: Daviess County Criminal Arrest

On October 30, 2008, at 10 a.m., a Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper working Interstate 35 in Daviess County made a notable drug seizure.
The northbound 2008 Pontiac G6 was stopped for a traffic violation, eight miles north of Cameron, MO. Due to a discrepancy in the vehicle’s rental agreement the company requested the vehicle be impounded. During the subsequent inventory search, two black trash bags were located in the trunk that contained approximately 20 pounds of marijuana.
The driver, Donald Ealey, of Austin, TX, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver (felony). He is being held currently at the Daviess-DeKalb Regional Jail in Pattonsburg, MO.
The charge for which the individual has been arrested is a mere accusation and is not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charge must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
