EMPHASIS: Sobriety Checkpoint/Saturation Announcement--Camden County

Captain Dale A. Schmidt, commanding officer of Troop F, Jefferson City, MO, announces that sometime during the month of June 2007, a sobriety checkpoint/saturation will be conducted in Camden County. The checkpoint will be conducted by the Missouri State Highway Patrol in cooperation with other area law enforcement agencies.
“We will continue to use these checkpoints to remove intoxicated and impaired drivers from the roadway,” said Captain Schmidt. “The intoxicated driver continues to be a major contributor to serious traffic crashes in our state.”
The Missouri State Highway Patrol urges all citizens to report any vehicle they observe operating in a careless manner. The public can contact the Highway Patrol toll-free at 1-800-525-5555 or on their cellular phone at *55.
