EMPHASIS: Manhunt In Macon County For Out Of State Fugitive Suspended
The active manhunt in a wooded area along U.S. Highway 63, north of Jacksonville, Missouri, near the Macon and Randolph county line, for out of state fugitive, Christopher G. Holcomb, has been suspended. Members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol and Macon County Sheriff's Department will continue to be present in the area, and law enforcement agencies will pursue other investigative avenues to locate Holcomb.
Holcomb is wanted on a felony probation and parole warrant issued from the State of Louisiana, and another felony warrant for drugs and assault issued by Cobb County Georgia. He is described as being a white male, 30 years of age, 6 foot tall, 165 lbs., and has brown hair. He was last seen wearing tan shorts and a dark colored sleeveless shirt. Law enforcement authorities urge anyone who observes an individual meeting the description of Holcomb to immediately contact 911, the Missouri State Highway Patrol at (660) 385-2132, or the Macon County Sheriff’s Department at (660) 385-2062. As with any wanted fugitive, Holcomb should be considered potentially dangerous. It is further encouraged that residents living close to the search area keep all doors to homes locked, and make sure that all unattended vehicles are secured.
