EMPHASIS: Drug Arrest In Pettis County

On August 30, 2007, at approximately 4:20 p.m., a member of the Missouri State Highway Patrol stopped a white Ford F-150 on Broadway Boulevard in Sedalia for a traffic violation. Consent to search the vehicle was obtained. A misdemeanor amount of marijuana and ingredients to grow marijuana were located inside the vehicle. The driver gave consent to search his residence in Sedalia. At the residence members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Pettis County Sheriff’s Department recovered an indoor marijuana growing operation.
The driver, Michael A. Eller, 49, of Sedalia, Missouri, was charged with manufacturing a controlled substance within 2,000 feet of a school.
The charge for which Michael A. Eller was arrested is mere accusation and is not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charge must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty it is to determine guilt or innocence.
