EMPHASIS: Lebanon, MO, Man Arrested/Charged For Child Sex Crimes
The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control (DDCC) announces the arrest of David A. Larger, 34, of Lebanon, MO, for child sex crimes following an investigation by the DDCC Special Victims Unit (SVU). SVU investigators were assisted by the Lebanon Police Department, State Technical Assistance Team, and the Missouri Digital Forensic Center.
In January 2026, while conducting an online child pornography investigation, SVU investigators obtained a CyberTip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children indicating an online user had uploaded child sexual abuse material, which was identified as child pornography. After conducting a preliminary investigation, Larger was identified as a possible suspect.
On March 19, 2026, investigators executed a search warrant at a residence in Lebanon, MO. Investigators contacted and interviewed Larger, and evidence of child pornography was seized. As a result, Larger was arrested and transported to the Laclede County Jail and placed on a 24-hour investigative hold. SVU investigators sent a Probable Cause Statement to the Laclede County Prosecutor, seeking felony charges.
On March 20, 2026, the Laclede County Prosecuting Attorney formally charged Larger with one count each: Possession of Child Pornography -1st Degree (felony) and Promoting Child Pornography -1st Degree (felony). He is currently being held at the Laclede County Jail without bond.
DDCC encourages internet users to promptly report to the Patrol or local law enforcement anyone who attempts to engage in unwanted, inappropriate, or sexualized communications with children.
The charges for which the above individual was arrested are mere accusations and not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of these charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction, whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
