Troop G Releases Results Of Click It Or Ticket Operation
A total of 34 citations and 25 warnings were issued in conjunction with a Click It or Ticket seat belt enforcement operation conducted in Texas County on May 31, 2019. Troopers also arrested two people for misdemeanor drug possession, two for criminal violations, and one person for an outstanding felony warrant. Totals from this enforcement effort include:
6 -- seat belt citations
1 -- child restraint citation
24 -- speed citations
1 -- driver license violation citation
2 -- uninsured motorist citations
2 -- misdemeanor drug arrests
2 -- misdemeanor criminal arrests
1 -- felony warrant arrest
“Wearing your seat belt is the single easiest way to protect yourself if you are involved in a traffic crash," said Captain Bruce D. Fiske. "Please be the safest driver you can possibly be. Always pay attention to the task of driving, and please wear your seat belt at all times.”
The only 100 percent survivable traffic crash is the one that never happens. Make sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Every day as we travel on Missouri’s roadways, we trust that every driver on the road is going to obey the speed limit, pay attention, and drive sober.
