EMPHASIS:
Three New Troopers Assigned To Troop A
Captain Steven V. Wilhoit, commanding officer Troop A, Lee’s Summit, is pleased to announce the assignment of three new troopers within Troop A. The new troopers were members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s 119th Recruit Class, which graduated from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy on April 17, 2024. The new troopers will report for duty, in their respective assignments, on April 29, 2024.
Trooper Samuel J.A. Crosson, a native of Lexington, Missouri, has been assigned to Zone 8, which serves the citizens of Layfette and Saline counties. Trooper Crosson graduated from Lexington High School in Lexington, Missouri, in 2013. Prior to his appointment to the Patrol, Trooper Crosson served in the United States Army as
an aviation operations specialist. He also served the citizens of Layfette County, Missouri, as a deputy with the Layfette County Sheriff’s Office. Trooper Crosson is married to Sarah (Knobbe), and they have two children: Jackson and Kinsley.
Trooper Ryan T. McFatrich, a native of El Paso, Texas, has been assigned to Zone 8, which serves the citizens of Layfette and Saline counties. Trooper McFatrich graduated from Lexington High School in Lexington, Missouri, in 2008. Prior to his appointment to the Patrol, Trooper McFatrich served in the United States Army as a signal support system specialist. He also served the citizens of Odessa, Missouri, as a police officer. Trooper McFatrich is married to Amanda (Stoenner), and they have a son, Atlas.
Trooper Matthew T. Tucker, a native of Belton, Missouri, has been assigned to Zone 11, which serves the citizens of Cass County. Trooper Tucker graduated from Belton High School in Belton, Missouri, in 2016. Prior to his appointment to the Patrol, Trooper Tucker served the citizens of Cass County, Missouri, as a deputy with the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.
