Troop C Marine Operations Troopers To Host Vessel Inspection Sites On May 7, 2022
Captain Ryan A. Burckhardt, commanding officer of Troop C, Weldon Spring, would like to announce the Troop C marine operations troopers will be hosting vessel inspection sites from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2022. Inspection sites include Troop C Headquarters in Weldon Spring, and at George Winter Park (near the boat ramp), in Fenton, MO. The purpose of these inspections is to make sure people have the proper equipment needed to operate vessels legally on waterways. Proper equipment includes registration (hard copy in vessel), outboard motor registration, life jacket, throwable personal floatation device, navigation lights, sounding device, and fire extinguisher.
There is no need to call or make an appointment to have your vessel checked. Just bring your vessel to one of the above locations during the posted hours for a free safety check.
Watercraft operators must consider the effect their actions have on others: Share the waterway and use common sense, good judgment, and courtesy to ensure the safety of all. Life jackets save lives. Wear It!!
