EMPHASIS: Two New Troopers Assigned To Troop I

Captain James W. Remillard, commanding officer of Troop I, Rolla, is pleased to announce the assignment of two new troopers to Troop I. The new troopers were members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s 106th Recruit Class that graduated from the Patrol Academy on December 21, 2018.

Trooper Nathan Vines is a graduate of Fordland High School in Webster County. He attended Ozark Technical College in Springfield, Missouri, where he earned an associate degree prior to entering the Missouri State Highway Patrol Academy. Trooper Vines has been assigned to Zone 8 in Laclede, County.

Trooper Gavin Leach is a graduate of Providence High School in St. Louis, Missouri. He attended Biola University in California for two years prior to his acceptance into the Missouri State Highway Patrol Academy. Trooper Leach has been assigned to Zone 3 in Crawford, County.

The only 100 percent survivable traffic crash is the one that never happens. Make sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Every day as we travel on Missouri’s roadways, we trust that every driver on the road is going to obey the speed limit, pay attention, and drive sober.
