Captain James E. Wilt Announces Troop B Transfers
Captain James E. Wilt, commanding officer of Troop B, Macon, announces the following transfers effective May 1, 2020.
Trooper Chris R. Kottwitz transferred from Troop B, Zone 6, Clark and Scotland counties, to Troop B, Zone 4, Putnam and Sullivan counties. Kottwitz graduated from Putnam County High School. He holds an associate degree in criminal justice from Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, Missouri. Kottwitz was a member of the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s 99th Recruit Class and graduated from the Patrol Academy on December 19, 2014. Trooper Kottwitz and his wife, Courtnee (Ream), have two children.
Trooper Jeffery G. Durbin, transferred from Troop C, Zone 7, Warren County, to Troop B, Zone 11, Randolph and Monroe counties. Durbin is a graduate of Monroe City High School. He graduated from Moberly Area Community College Law Enforcement Training Center in Moberly, Missouri. He then attended the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri, where he studied psychology. Prior to joining the Patrol, Durbin was a deputy sheriff for the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office. Durbin was a member of the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s 103rd Recruit Class and graduated from the Patrol Academy on December 30, 2016. Trooper Durbin is married to Whitney (Vehige) Durbin.
