EMPHASIS: Troop I To Conduct An Impaired Driving Enforcement Operation In September

Captain James W. Remillard, commanding officer of Troop I, announces that during the month of September, Troop I officers will conduct an impaired driving enforcement operation in Phelps County. Officers assigned to this operation will focus their enforcement efforts in areas where, in the past, a high number of crashes have occurred as a result of impaired drivers. Efforts will also focus on areas in Phelps County where officers have previously encountered impaired drivers.

Captain Remillard would like to remind motorists that they can report serious traffic violations and highway emergencies by dialing *55 on their cellular telephone.

The only 100 percent survivable traffic crash is the one that never happens. Make sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Every day as we travel on Missouri’s roadways, we trust that every driver on the road is going to obey the speed limit, pay attention, and drive sober. “Don’t Violate The Trust.”
