EMPHASIS: Patrol Announces DWI Saturation In Franklin County

Captain Norman A. Murphy, acting commanding officer of Troop C, Weldon Spring, announces that sometime during the month of June 2017, Troop C officers will conduct a DWI saturation in Franklin County. The areas selected for enforcement are based on a high number of drinking-related crashes, high number of contacts with drivers who have been drinking, and officers’ input as to probable contact with DWI violators.

"The objective of DWI enforcement projects is to deter drinking and driving and to make citizens aware that drinking and driving will not be tolerated," stated Captain Murphy. The Missouri State Highway Patrol urges all citizens to report any vehicle they observe operating in a careless manner. The public can contact the Highway Patrol at (636) 300-2800 or on a cellular phone at *55.

The only 100 percent survivable traffic crash is the one that never happens. Make sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Every day as we travel on Missouri’s roadways, we trust that every driver on the road is going to obey the speed limit, pay attention, and drive sober.
“Don’t Violate The Trust.”
