Update To Restrictions On Boat Operations On Big Lake
*Update* Effective July 11, 2024, the restriction to no wake/idle speed on Big Lake has been lifted.
Captain Shawn P. Skoglund, commanding officer of Troop H, St. Joseph, Missouri, announces a temporary restriction for boaters on Big Lake in Holt County, Missouri. Boat operation on Big Lake will be restricted to no wake/idle speed to prevent property damage from flooding. This temporary restriction is effective immediately and will remain in effect until there is no longer a threat to property from flooding.
