EMPHASIS: Sergeant Andrew D. Gadberry Promoted To Lieutenant

Captain Eric F. Brown, director of the Public Information and Education Division, announces the promotion of Sergeant Andrew D. Gadberry, effective October 1, 2026. Sgt. Gadberry will be promoted to the rank of lieutenant and will transfer to the Public Information and Education Division, General Headquarters, Jefferson City, where he will serve as division assistant director.

Gadberry joined the Missouri State Highway Patrol as a member of the 85th Recruit Class. After graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy, he was assigned to Troop C, Zone 7, Warren County. On January 12, 2012, he was promoted to corporal. Gadberry was promoted to sergeant on February 1, 2023. On December 16, 2024, he transferred to Troop C Headquarters, Weldon Springs, and served as a public information and education officer.

Lieutenant Gadberry grew up in Mt. Sterling, IL, and graduated from Brown County High School in Mt. Sterling in May 2001. He earned his bachelor’s degree in law enforcement and justice administration from Western Illinois University in Macomb, IL. Lt. Gadberry completed the Police Leadership: The WestPoint Model course in 2021. He is married to his wife, Ashley, and they have two children.
