A2025-07 December 19, 2025 EMPHASIS: Two New Troopers Assigned To Troop A
Captain Steven V. Wilhoit, commanding officer of Troop A, Lee’s Summit, is pleased to announce the assignment of two new troopers within Troop A. The new troopers were members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s 124th Recruit Class, which graduated from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy on December 19, 2025. The new troopers will report for duty in their respective assignments on January 5, 2026.
Trooper Tyler S. Lutjen, a native of Clinton, MO, has been assigned to Zone 11, which serves the citizens of Cass County. Trooper Lutjen graduated from Clinton High School in Clinton, MO, in 2021. Prior to his appointment to the Patrol, Trooper Lutjen attended State Fair Community College where he obtained an associate’s degree in 2023. Trooper Lutjen previously worked as a pharmacy technician.
Trooper Caleb C. Venegoni, a native of Miami, OK, has been assigned to Zone 14, which serves the citizens of Bates County. Trooper Venegoni graduated from Miami High School in Miami, OK, in 2008. Prior to his appointment to the Patrol, Trooper Venegoni worked as a surgical technologist. Trooper Venegoni has two children.
