EMPHASIS: Troop A Announces Promotions
Captain Gregory D. Primm, commanding officer of Troop A, Lee's Summit, announces the following promotions effective June 1, 2026.
Trooper David T. Craig has been promoted to the rank of corporal and designated the assistant zone supervisor of Zone 11, serving the citizens of Cass County. Craig was appointed to the Patrol on August 4, 2020, as a member of the 110th Recruit Class. Upon graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy, he was assigned to Troop A, Zone 7, serving the citizens of Jackson County. He remained in Jackson County until his promotion.
Corporal Craig was born in St. Charles, MO. He graduated from Nixa High School in Nixa, MO, in 2014. Before joining the Patrol, he attended Missouri State University in Springfield, where he graduated with his bachelor’s degree in criminology in 2019. Cpl. Craig is currently a member of the Troop A Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team. Cpl. Craig is married and has three children.
Trooper Aaron K. Booker has been promoted to the rank of corporal and designated the assistant zone supervisor of Zone 12, serving the citizens of Johnson County. Booker was appointed to the Patrol on February 1, 2021, as a member of the 111th Recruit Class. Upon graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy, he was assigned to Troop A, Zone 7, serving the citizens of Jackson County. He remained in Jackson County until his promotion.
Corporal Booker was born in Clovis, NM. He graduated from Blue Springs High School in Blue Springs, MO, in 2007. Before joining the Patrol, he attended the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, where he graduated with his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice in 2011. Prior to his career with the Patrol, Cpl. Booker was a police officer in Midland, TX, for two years. Cpl. Booker is currently a member of the Troop A SWAT Team. Cpl. Booker is married and has three children.
Trooper Devan J. Harms has been promoted to the rank of corporal and designated the assistant zone supervisor of Zone 15, serving the citizens of Henry County. Harms was appointed to the Patrol on February 1, 2021, as a member of the 111th Recruit Class. Upon graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy, he was assigned to Troop A, Zone 12, serving the citizens of Johnson County. He remained in Johnson County until his promotion.
Corporal Harms was born in Sedalia, MO. He graduated from California High School in California, MO, in 2011. Before joining the Patrol, Cpl. Harms enlisted in the United State Air Force. During this time, Cpl. Harms attended the American Military University, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice in 2019. Cpl. Harms is married with one child.
