Troop G Releases Labor Day Holiday Enforcement Totals
Captain Mark G. Inman, commanding officer, Troop G, Willow Springs, announces the results of a special enforcement operation conducted during the Labor Day holiday period on the peak travel days of Friday, August 31, 2018, and Monday, September 3, 2018.
Troopers assigned to this operation worked 12-hour shifts to patrol 20-mile intervals of U.S. Highway 60 in Troop G. Totals from this operation include:
105-- speed citations
8-- seat belt citations
5-- child restraint violation citations
1-- failed to yield citation
6-- other hazardous moving citations
17-- non-moving citations
8-- no driver’s license citations
9-- uninsured motorist citations
1-- misdemeanor drug arrest
9-- misdemeanor warrant arrests
3-- felony drug arrests
1-- other felony arrest
2-- felony warrant arrests
152-- warnings
“Visibility is an important part of traffic enforcement,” said Capt. Inman. “This operation increases our visibility as well as our ability to keep the motoring public safe.”
The only 100 percent survivable traffic crash is the one that never happens. Make sure everyone
in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Every day as we travel on
Missouri’s roadways, we trust that every driver on the road is going to obey the speed limit, pay
attention, and drive sober.
“Don’t Violate The
Trust
.”
