EMPHASIS: Troop E Announces Special Operations For August

Captain Jeffrey N. Vitale, commanding officer of Troop E, Poplar Bluff, Missouri, announces that sometime during the month of July, Troop E officers will conduct three driving while intoxicated saturation enforcement operations. The operations will be conducted by the Missouri State Highway Patrol in cooperation with local law enforcement agencies.

"Special enforcement operations such as these enable the Missouri State Highway Patrol to enhance our efforts in removing impaired drivers from our highways," stated Captain Vitale. "Driving while impaired continues to be a major contributing factor of traffic crashes in Missouri."

The only 100 percent survivable crash is the one that never happens. Make sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Every day as we travel on Missouri’s roadways, we trust that every driver on the road is going to obey the speed limit, pay attention, and drive sober.
“Don’t Violate The Trust.”
