EMPHASIS: Troop E Promotion Announced
Captain Philip E. Gregory, commanding officer of Troop E, Poplar Bluff, is pleased to announce the following promotion effective June 1, 2022.
Trooper Jayson R. Spain will be promoted to the rank of corporal and designated the assistant supervisor of Zone 4, Bollinger, Cape Girardeau, and Scott counties. He was appointed to the Patrol on July 1, 2009, as a member of the 90th Recruit Class. After graduating from the Patrol's Law Enforcement Academy, he was assigned to Troop E, Zone 2, Butler and Ripley counties. In 2013, he transfered to Troop E, Zone 5, Bollinger, Cape Girardeau, and Scott counties. Corporal Spain is a 2004 graduate of Saxony Lutheran High School in Jackson, Missouri. In 2008, he graduated from Murray State Universtiy in Murray, Kentucky, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in international business. In 2012, he graduated from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau where he earned a master’s degree in higher education.
