EMPHASIS:
Results Of DWI Saturation In Boone And Cole Counties
Captain Michael A. Turner, commanding officer of Troop F, Jefferson City, announces the results of a driving while intoxicated saturation conducted in Boone and Cole counties.
The saturation was held during the evening of May 5, and early morning hours on May 6, 2018. During this enforcement operation, four officers patrolled Boone and Cole counties with a goal of detecting impaired drivers and other traffic violations that contribute to traffic crashes. During the project, troopers stopped a total of 36 vehicles. The following is a summary of the enforcement and service contacts made:
3 -- Driving While Intoxicated Arrests
2 -- Speed Summonses
1 -- Hazardous Moving Summons
2 -- Non-Moving Summonses
1 -- Misdemeanor Warrant Arrest
4 -- Misdemeanor Drug Arrests
1 -- Felony Warrant Arrest
1 -- No Insurance Summons
46 -- Warnings
5 -- Motorist Assists
“Driving while impaired continues to be a major contributing factor of traffic crashes on Missouri’s roadways,” stated Captain Turner. “Removing impaired drivers from our roadways is a priority to the Highway Patrol, and we take that very seriously. Please drive safely and always designate a sober driver.”
The only 100 percent survivable traffic crash is the one that never happens. Make sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Every day as we travel on Missouri’s roadways, we trust that every driver on the road is going to obey the speed limit, pay attention, and drive sober.
“Don’t Violate The Trust.”
