Troop D Announces Results Of Motor Carrier Safety Assistance Program (MCSAP) Enforcement Operations
Captain Juan Villanueva, commanding officer of Troop D, announces the results of Motor Carrier Safety Assistance Program (MCSAP) enforcement operations conducted on Interstate 44 in Greene and Lawrence counties on March 8-10, 2017. The enforcement areas were selected due to a history of criminal activity along the I-44 corridor as well as a high propensity for commercial vehicle violations.
During the operations in Greene County on March 8 and 10, troopers and a Missouri State Highway Patrol commercial vehicle officer stopped 21 commercial vehicles and 35 passenger vehicles. Additionally, troopers conducted 10 commercial vehicle inspections which resulted in one vehicle being placed out-of-service. The following is a list of enforcement contacts made during the operations.
Driving While Suspended/Revoked Violation -- 1
Seat Belt Violations -- 2
Non-Moving Violations -- 3
Misdemeanor Warrant Arrests -- 2
Troopers also issued 79 warnings for various other offenses during this operation.

Additionally, troopers conducted 29 commercial vehicle inspections which resulted in three drivers and four vehicles being placed out-of-service. Speed Violations -- 2
Seat Belt Violation -- 1
Troopers also issued 53 warnings for various other offenses during this operation.
The only 100 percent survivable traffic crash is the one that never happens. Make sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Every day as we travel on Missouri’s roadways, we trust that every driver on the road is going to obey the speed limit, pay attention, and drive sober.
“Don’t Violate The Trust.”
