Patrol, New Madrid County Sheriff's Office Invite Media To News Conference Regarding Resolution Of 1998 Scherer Homicides
The Missouri State Highway Patrol and New Madrid County Sheriff's Office cordially invite all media outlets to attend a press conference at 10 a.m., Friday, October 5, 2018, at the New Madrid County Courthouse in New Madrid, MO. Investigators assigned to the Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control and New Madrid County Sheriff Terry Stevens will be present to provide information concerning the use of DNA to identify a suspect in the 1998 murders of Megan and Sherri Scherer. The identified suspect is deceased.
