EMPHASIS: Promotion And Transfer At General Headquarters
Colonel Michael A. Turner, superintendent of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, announces the following transfer and promotion effective June 1, 2026.
Sergeant Justin W. Turner was promoted to the rank of lieutenant and transferred to the Governor’s Security Division where he now serves as the assistant director.
Turner was appointed to the Patrol on January 8, 2007, as a member of the 86th Recruit Class. After graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy, his first assignment was to Troop F, Zone 8, Callaway County. In 2012, he transferred to Troop F, Zone 10, serving the citizens of Boone County. Turner was promoted to corporal in 2015 and transferred to Troop F, Zone 8, Callaway County. He later transferred to Troop F, Zone 15, Callaway County in April 2022. Turner transferred to the Division of Drug and Crime Control in December 2022 and was promoted to sergeant.
Lieutenant Turner graduated from Marshfield High School in 2001. In May 2006, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO.
