EMPHASIS: Troop H Promotion Announced
Captain Clark N. Stratton, commanding officer Troop H, is pleased to announce the following promotion effective January 1, 2022.
Sergeant Michael P. Quilty, Troop H, has been promoted to the rank of lieutenant and remain assigned to Troop H, St. Joseph, Missouri.
Quilty was appointed to the Patrol on January 1, 1997, as a member of the 73rd Recruit Class. After graduating the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy, he was assigned to Troop H, Zone 2, Nodaway and Worth counties. Quilty was promoted to corporal in December 2002, and designated assistant zone supervisor of Troop H, Zone 3, Gentry and Harrison counties. In October 2004, he was promoted to sergeant and designated zone commander of Troop H, Zone 1, Atchison and Holt counties.
Lieutenant Quilty was born in Trenton, Missouri, and graduated from Trenton High School. He received his associate degree from North Central Missouri College, Trenton, Missouri, in 1995. He graduated from Missouri Western State University, St. Joseph, Missouri, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in criminal justice in 1996. Lt. Quilty is married and has two children.
