EMPHASIS: Six New Troopers Assigned To Troop C

Captain Kevin W. Malugen, commanding officer of Troop C, Weldon Spring, is pleased to announce the assignment of six new troopers to Troop C. The new troopers were members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s 126th Recruit Class and graduated from the Patrol Academy on Friday, October 16, 2026. The new troopers will report for duty on Monday, November 2, 2026.

Trooper Joshua P. Heisserer, a native of Florissant, MO, has been assigned to Zone 2, serving the citizens of North St. Louis County. Tpr. Heisserer is a 2021 homeschool graduate. After high school, Tpr. Heisserer attended the University of Missouri St. Louis. In 2024, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration. Prior to his employment with the Patrol, Tpr. Heisserer owned and operated his own landscape business, HEIZ Lawn & Landscape LLC.

Trooper Evan A. Tooke, a native of Piedmont, MO, has been assigned to Zone 8, serving the citizens of St. Charles County. Tpr. Tooke is a 2024 graduate of Clearwater High School in Piedmont. Prior to his employment with the Patrol, Tpr. Tooke worked at Lowes Home Improvement in Farmington, MO.

Trooper Jonathan R. LaTurno, a native of Ozark, MO, has been assigned to Zone 9, serving the citizens of St. Charles County. Tpr. LaTurno is a 2017 graduate of Ozark High School in Ozark, MO. After graduating high school, he enlisted into the United States Army where he served until May 2020. Prior to his employment with the Patrol, Tpr. LaTurno worked as a carpenter for Three Stone Homes in Rogersville, MO.

Trooper Jonathan M. Krygiel, a native of Sullivan, MO, has been assigned to Zone 12, serving the citizens of Jefferson County. Tpr. Krygiel is a 2021 graduate of Sullivan High School in Sullivan, MO. Prior to his employment with the Patrol, Tpr. Krygiel worked as a carpenter for Premium Builders in Sullivan, MO. He is married and has one daughter.

Trooper Quinn P. Sweeney, a native of St. Louis, MO, has been assigned to Zone 13, serving the citizens of Jefferson County. Tpr. Sweeney is a 2022 graduate of Lindbergh High School in St. Louis, MO. After graduating high school, he attended Maryville University in St. Louis, MO. Prior to his employment with the Patrol, Tpr. Sweeney worked as a pro shop associate at Tapawingo National Golf Club.

Trooper Gabriel M. L'Heureux, a native of Piedmont, MO, has been assigned to Zone 14, serving the citizens of St. Francois and Washington counties. Tpr. L'Heureux is a 2019 graduate of Clearwater High School in Piedmont. After graduating high school, he enlisted into the United States Marine Corps, where he served as an intelligence specialist until 2024.
