EMPHASIS: Troop C Announces Promotion
Captain Kevin W. Malugen, commanding officer of Troop C, Weldon Spring, announces the following Troop C promotion effective June 1, 2026.
Trooper Dylan Bert is promoted to the rank of corporal and is assigned as the assistant zone supervisor of Troop C, Zone 2, serving the citizens of North St. Louis County. Bert was appointed to the Missouri State Highway Patrol on February 1, 2021, as a member of the 111th Recruit Class. After graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy, he was assigned to Troop C, Zone 8, serving the citizens of St. Charles County.
Corporal Bert is a native of Houston, TX. He is a 2016 graduate of Cypress Woods High School in Cypress, TX. After graduation, he attended Sam Houston State University, in Huntsville, TX, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice in 2020. During his employment with the Patrol, Cpl. Bert has been assigned to the Major Case Squad, the Troop C SWAT team, and is a drug recognition expert.
