EMPHASIS:
Two New Troopers Assigned To Troop G
Captain Mark G. Inman, commanding officer of Troop G, Willow Springs, announces the assignment of two new troopers to Troop G:
Trooper Justice C. Simpson has been assigned to Zone 2, Texas County. Trooper Simpson is a native of Galena, Missouri, and a graduate of Galena High School. He attended Crowder Community College in Neosho, Missouri, where he earned an Associate of Arts in criminal justice. Prior to joining the Patrol, he was employed at Walmart in Branson West, Missouri. Trooper Simpson’s zone supervisor will be Sergeant George Falterman and his field training officer will be Trooper Jacob Sellars.
Trooper Sean D. Goostree has been assigned to Zone 10, Northern Howell and Shannon counties. Trooper Goostree is a native of Rocky Comfort, Missouri, and a graduate of Wheaton High School in Wheaton, Missouri. He attended college at Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, Missouri, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice. Prior to joining the Patrol, he was employed by the 3M corporation in Nevada, Missouri. Trooper Goostree’s zone supervisor will be Sergeant Shawn Dougherty and his field training officer will be Trooper Mayela Barron.
The two new troopers were members of the 105th Recruit Class of the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The 105th Recruit Class began training on January 2, 2018, and graduated on June 29, 2018. They will report for duty on July 16, 2018.
The only 100 percent survivable traffic crash is the one that never happens. Make sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Every day as we travel on Missouri’s roadways, we trust that every driver on the road is going to obey the speed limit, pay attention, and drive sober.
