EMPHASIS:
Washington County Collector Arrested For Stealing
The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control announces the arrest of Carla J. Zettler, 50, of Mineral Point, MO, on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, for stealing. The arrest was the result of an investigation requested by Washington County Sheriff Zach Jacobsen and was conducted by members of the Division of Drug and Crime Control’s Troop C Criminal Investigative Unit.
Based upon the investigation, on June 22, 2022, the Washington County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office formally charged Zettler with three counts of felony stealing, one count of felony forgery, and one count of official misconduct. On Monday, June 27, 2022, Zettler was charged with an additional count of felony stealing. Investigators arrested Zettler on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, and transported her to the Washington County Jail. Zettler was issued a bond of $10,000. The investigation by the Division of Drug and Crime Control is ongoing.
The above charges are mere accusation and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of these charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
