EMPHASIS: Troop C Officers To Participate In "Click It or Ticket" Mobilization

Captain Stephen B. Ferrier, commanding officer of Troop C, Weldon Spring, announces that the Patrol will once again participate with the Missouri Department of Transportation’s Division of Highway Safety by joining other law enforcement agencies’ efforts on February 15, 2018, for a “Click It or Ticket” mobilization. The primary goal is to reduce the number of injury and fatal crashes which will be accomplished through the aggressive enforcement of traffic laws, including a zero tolerance policy, to ensure seat belt compliance and the utilization of child restraint systems.

“We have seen too many deaths on Missouri roadways this year and many of those people might have been saved if they had been buckled up.” said Captain Ferrier. “Our troopers will be out aggressively enforcing seat belt violations in an effort to reduce fatalities and promote safety on our roadway.”

The only 100 percent survivable traffic crash is the one that never happens. Make sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Every day as we travel on Missouri’s roadways, we trust that every driver on the road is going to obey the speed limit, pay attention, and drive sober. “Don’t Violate The Trust.”
