EMPHASIS: Corporal Gipson To Retire
Captain Erik A. Gottman, commanding officer of Troop B, Macon, announces the following retirement: Corporal David L. Gipson will retire June 1, 2026, after 14 years of dedicated service.
Gipson was appointed to the Patrol on April 2, 2012, as a member of the 95th recruit class, and after graduating from the Patrol Academy, was assigned to Troop B, Zone 1, Macon and Shelby counties. On August 17, 2014, he transferred to Zone 10, Randolph and Monroe counties. On October 1, 2024, he was promoted to the rank of corporal and designated assistant zone commander of Zone 10.
Prior to his employment with the Patrol, Cpl. Gibson was employed by the Missouri Department of Transportation for 14 years. Cpl. Gipson is a native of Huntsville, MO, and graduated from Westran High School. He holds an Associate of Applied Science degree in Computer Aided Drafting and Design from ITT Technical Institute in Earth City, MO.
