MSHP Seeks Assistance Regarding A Fatal Shooting In St. Louis County
Missouri State Highway Patrol Division of Drug and Crime Control Troop C criminal investigators are requesting assistance from the public. On Friday, September 3, 2021, troopers checked a vehicle stopped on the shoulder of Interstate 170 at Natural Bridge Road. Troopers located an 80-year-old, white male, in the driver seat, deceased from an apparent gunshot wound. Preliminary investigation revealed the victim was shot between 1:45-2:30 p.m. on September 3, while traveling southbound on I-170, possibly in the area of Interstate 70. The victim was driving a black 2017 Jeep Patriot with a Montana registration. The Highway Patrol is seeking assistance in identifying any vehicle or vehicles involved in an altercation with the victim’s vehicle in the vicinity on September 3.
