EMPHASIS: Stolen Property Recovery Results In Numerous Charges
On Monday, October 25, 2010, at approximately 11:00 a.m., troopers from the Missouri State Highway Patrol went to a residence near Pomona, Missouri, in Howell County after receiving a complaint of stolen property. As officers approached the residence, six subjects fled on foot, three of which were apprehended a short time later. A search warrant was obtained, and a subsequent search of the property revealed several stolen items, an operational clandestine methamphetamine laboratory, and a large amount of drug paraphernalia.
Three subjects were arrested at the scene: Amanda J. Madden, 30, Willow Springs, Missouri; Nathan R. Hicks, 32, Willow Springs, Missouri; and Andrea M. Hicks, 28, Willow Springs, Missouri. A fourth individual, Ryan W. Perkins, 33, Willow Springs, Missouri, was located and arrested on Tuesday, October 26, 2010, at 5:09 p.m. by a Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper.
The following is a summation of the charges:
Amanda J. Madden -- Four counts of receiving stolen property, felony resisting arrest by fleeing, felony possession of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine paraphernalia, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and five misdemeanor warrants from West Plains Police Department.
Nathan R. Hicks -- Felony warrant for probation violation (Howell County), felony Douglas County warrant for probation violation, possession of methamphetamine precursors, possession of methamphetamine chemicals, four felony counts of receiving stolen property, felony resisting arrest by fleeing, felony possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of misdemeanor drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor receiving stolen property.
Andrea M. Hicks -- Possession of methamphetamine precursors, possession of methamphetamine chemicals, four felony counts of receiving stolen property, felony resisting arrest by fleeing, felony possession of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine paraphernalia, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, possession of misdemeanor paraphernalia, misdemeanor receiving stolen property.
Ryan W. Perkins -- Felony probation and parole warrant, felony resisting arrest, possession of chemicals to manufacture a controlled substance.
Nathan R. Hicks, Andrea M. Hicks, and Ryan W. Perkins were transported to the Howell County Sheriff’s Department for incarceration. Amanda J. Madden was taken to the West Plains Police Department.
The Howell County Sheriff’s Department, South Central Drug Task Force, and the Willow Springs Police Department assisted with this investigation. The investigation continues.
The charges for which these individuals were arrested are mere accusations and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
