EMPHASIS: Troop C Announces Promotion

Captain Kevin W. Malugen, commanding officer of Troop C, Weldon Spring, announces the following Troop C promotion effective August 1, 2025.

Trooper Daniel Norton is being promoted to the rank of corporal and will be assigned as the assistant supervisor of Zone 3, serving the citizens of South St. Louis County. Norton was appointed to the Missouri State Highway Patrol on January 2, 2019, as a member of the 107th Recruit Class. After graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy, he was assigned to Troop C, Zone 12, serving the citizens of Jefferson County.

Corporal Norton is a native of Pevely, MO, and graduated from Rockwood Summit High School in 2013.
