Troop F Releases Special Operation Totals
Captain Michael A. Turner, commanding officer of Troop F, Jefferson City, releases the following information:
A total of 28 arrests and 68 warnings were issued in conjunction with a Selective Traffic Enforcement Program operation conducted in Boone, Callaway, Cooper, and Montgomery counties on January 21, 2018. The operation was conducted on Interstate 70. Totals from this enforcement effort include:
15 -- speed summonses
2 -- following too close summonses
4 -- other hazardous moving violation summonses
2 -- non-moving offense summonses
2 -- driving while suspended/revoked summonses
1 -- uninsured motorist summons
2 -- misdemeanor warrant arrests
“Motorists traveling on Missouri’s roadways can expect that members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol will be striving to do all we can to rid our roads of unsafe drivers,” said Capt. Turner. “Please help us by being the safest driver you can possibly be. Always pay attention to the task of driving, and please wear your seat belt at all times.”
The only 100 percent survivable traffic crash is the one that never happens. Make sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Every day as we travel on Missouri’s roadways, we trust that every driver on the road is going to obey the speed limit, pay attention, and drive sober.
“Don’t Violate The Trust.”
