Troop G Releases Special Enforcement Operation Totals
Captain Mark G. Inman, commanding officer, Troop G, Willow Springs, announces the results of a special enforcement operation conducted during the Independence Day holiday period, on the peak travel days of Tuesday, July 3, 2018, and Wednesday, July 4, 2018.
Troopers assigned to this operation worked 12-hour shifts to patrol 20-mile intervals of U.S. Highway 60 in Troop G. Totals from this operation include:
125-- speed citations
11-- seat belt citations
1-- Failed to yield citation
5-- non-moving citations
5-- no driver’s license citations
1-- failure to yield citation
1-- stop sign violation citation
11-- uninsured motorist citations
2-- misdemeanor drug arrests
2-- other felony arrests
1-- felony warrant arrest
1-- driving while intoxicated arrest
124-- warnings
“Visibility is an important part of traffic enforcement,” said Capt. Inman. “This operation increases our visibility as well as our ability to keep the motoring public safe.”
The only 100 percent survivable crash is the one that never happens. Make sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Every day as we travel on Missouri’s roadways, we trust that every driver on the road is going to obey the speed limit, pay attention, and drive sober.
“Don’t Violate The Trust.”
