Troop C Announces Promotion
Captain Kevin W. Malugen, commanding officer of Troop C, Weldon Spring, announces the following Troop C promotion effective February 1, 2024.
Trooper Andrew D. Baker is being promoted to the rank of corporal and will be assigned as the assistant zone commander of Zone 1, serving the citizens of North St. Louis County. Baker was appointed to the Missouri State Highway Patrol on January 2, 2019, as a member of the 105th Recruit Class. After graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy, he was assigned to Troop C, Zone 1. In April 2023, Baker was assigned as an investigator on the Troop C Highway Investigation Team.
Corporal Baker graduated from Jennings Senior High School in Jennings, Missouri, in 2007. In 2018, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in criminology, from Webster University, in Webster Groves, Missouri.
In 2021, Baker earned a master’s degree in management and leadership, with an emphasis in cybersecurity, from Webster University.
