EMPHASIS:
Patrol Assists Lebanon Police Department With Homicide Investigation
On June 5, 2025, the Lebanon, MO, Chief of Police requested the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control (DDCC) assist with a homicide investigation. The homicide occurred in Lebanon on June 5, 2025. After a thorough investigation, DDCC investigators and members of the Lebanon Police Department identified a suspect.
Members of Operation Relentless Pursuit (ORP) located the suspect at a residence in Nixa , MO. On July 31, 2025, members of ORP arrested Sidney F. Wilson V., 25, of Stoutland, MO, for his involvement in the homicide. ORP officers were assisted with the arrest by DDCC, the United States Marshals, Greene County Sheriff’s Office, and Christian County Sheriff’s Office.
Formal charges have been filed by the Laclede County Prosecuting Attorney. Wilson has been charged with 2 counts of Murder-1st Degree and 2 counts of Armed Criminal Action. He is being held in the Laclede County Jail with no bond authorized.
This is an ongoing investigation, and further information cannot be released at this time. Anyone with information related to the investigation should contact the Lebanon Police Department.
The above charges are mere accusations and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of these charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction, whose duty it is to determine guilt or innocence.
