EMPHASIS: Lebanon Resident Arrested On Drug Charges

Captain Luke Vislay, director of the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control, announces the arrest of a Lebanon, MO, resident on October 17, 2008. The arrest follows a joint investigation involving the Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group (LANEG), the Laclede County Sheriff’s Department, and the Lebanon Police Department.
A search warrant executed at the residence of Steven W. Alvidrez, 27, revealed a controlled substance believed to be methamphetamine. Alvidrez was arrested for “possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute”, and incarcerated in the Laclede County Jail.
LANEG is a multi-jurisdictional drug task force. Its members include the sheriff’s departments of Crawford, Laclede, Camden, Dallas, Pulaski, and Gasconade counties, as well as the Lebanon and Osage Beach police departments. LANEG is governed by a board of directors and is coordinated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The above charge is mere accusation and is not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charge must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
