EMPHASIS: Patrol's Gaming Division Announces March 1, 2018 Promotion
Captain Larry W. Plunkett Jr., director of the Gaming Division, General Headquarters, Jefferson City, MO, announces the following promotion effective March 1, 2018:
Corporal Amy K. Johnson, Q/GD, is being promoted to the rank of sergeant and will remain assigned to the Gaming Division, where she serves as the assistant officer-in-charge at the Lumiere Casino in St. Louis, MO.
Johnson was appointed to the Patrol on January 7, 2007, as a member of the 86th Recruit Class. Upon graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy, she was assigned to Troop E, Zone 13, Iron and Madison counties. In August 2012, she transferred to the Gaming Division. Johnson was promoted to corporal in May 2015, and remained in the Gaming Division.
Sergeant Johnson was born in St. Louis, MO, and grew up in Festus, MO. She graduated from Festus R-6 High School in Festus. She earned a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice from Western Illinois University in Macomb, IL, in 2006. Sgt. Johnson has one son.
