EMPHASIS: Investigation Into Human Remains Found in Pike County, Missouri.

On December 21, 2024, the Pike County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a missing man, identified as Nathanial C. Mueller, 23, of Hannibal, MO. On February 28, 2025, authorities located human remains in rural Pike County. The remains were confirmed to be Mueller’s.

On March 3, 2025, at the request of the Pike County Sheriff’s Office, the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control will take over the investigation into Mueller’s disappearance and death.

The investigation is ongoing, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol requests anyone with information related to this case contact Troop C Headquarters at (636) 300-2800.
